Maintaining

Which is to say, I didn’t get that much done this week, due to my wasting time with my Airbook. (My fault, not the Mac’s——I’m absolutely delighted with the computer now that everything’s set up for business, though the minor changes from my old machine still take some getting used to).
But I still managed to deliver my eHow quota, despite the temptation to slack off Thursday and Friday. So at least I brought in my share of the vegetarian bacon substitute.
And my revamped schedule really does seem to work better. So, I notice, does scheduling most of my eHowing in the morning (with some time for Raleigh Public Record set aside) and writing later in the day. It’s very satisfying to get the grunt work done and out of the way. Or maybe it’s just that varying my schedule keeps me from getting into a routine, and I’ll have to keep adjusting it. I’ll see how it goes.
There’s really not much else new. I hadn’t intended to post so many personal non-writing, non-political pieces in a row, but it’s been that kind of week.
Oh, my new And column is up here on our insane efforts to attain total, complete, perfect safety from terrorism.
And now, reviving something I used to do, here’s my ehows for the week:
