Crushed by Chaos? Erased by Errands? Something alliterative like that

A somewhat crazy week. Productive, for the most part, but I fell way behind on my eHow work: I ran into a ton that turned out to fall outside my skills and so I wasted a lot of time trying and failing to put together a coherent article. Otherwise, I’m satisfied:
•I did more work on Eye of White Cathay, completing the latest draft. It’s much improved but it definitely needs some sort of wild card to throw in.
The Savage Years, on the other hand, looks much better than I thought. This draft, with relatively little touching up, eliminated several dead spots and info-dumps. I’m still not completely sure the premise works (or the ending, at this point) but after a couple more rewrites I may be ready to let the writing group or my other beta readers see what they make of it.
•I finally got Brain From Outer Space moving again. The results are kind of desultory, but at least I’m working toward the finish of this draft again.
•I began the rewrite of Impossible Takes a Little Longer. Slower than I thought (a lot of stylistic flaws I agree need fixing) but it’s on track for a submittal to someone this fall.
•I took another HyperInk Quicklet, this time on Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer. As I thought, it’s going smoother and faster than the first one.
•I accepted another project that I’ll tell you about once it’s under way. And continued completing my tasks on the ghostwriting project (only 10 more days to go—I’ll be very happy when it’s out of the way).
Several family projects cropped up this week which used up the time I’d hoped to spend whittling down my writing deficit (accumulated during last November’s chaos). These will demand more time during the coming weeks, so I’m going to have to push myself not to slack off. A couple of months of lower-than-usual income was fine, but it’s time to get back in gear, regardless of distractions.
EHows for the week:
•How to Get Certified to Remove Asbestos.
•Collection Agency Laws Regarding Partial Payments.
•How to Reformat Pages in a WordPress Blog
•How to Evict a Commercial Tenant.
•Why Is It Important to Combine Functions in Business?
•Importing Contacts to Outlook from Yahoo
•Methods of Network Analysis for Production Planning.
