A while back I wrote about right-wingers who like to imply Obama is somehow inspiring/causing black riots. Case in point, right-winger Don Surber claims any riots in Ferguson are part of Obama’s war on the middle class (no it doesn’t make sense). Of course, Surber also thought Michael Brown was an animal who deserved to be put down. I’ll be curious if he has any theories about who burned down a black church in Ferguson. And here’s a link (via the same post) to some white-riots.
•Uber’s concept of business ethics. And business ethics.Echidne of the Snakes suggests the business model, where the workers assume almost all the risks, isn’t that novel.
•Drought in California doesn’t stop Nestle bottling water.
•An ex-NBC employee says Bill Cosby paid off women, thousands of dollars worth.
•A thoughtful discussion of conservative Christian sexual ethics, rape and explicit consent.
•A new Republican health-care proposal has at its core tax cuts that will give the best benefits to the rich. Anyone surprised? And when you consider that most members of Congress are rich, I guess it’s even less surprising.
•Dynamic scoring is Paul Ryan’s new mantra. It means that if we assume tax cuts will boost revenue (which is usually a myth) then hey, no problem balancing the budget.
•Republicans are also not fans of spending on science.
