It could be the sleep, but a lot of it was me (#SFWApro)

So Tuesday night I woke up after about an hour’s sleep due to a horrendous nightmare. And couldn’t get back to sleep.
Normally while insomnia doesn’t leave me in peak condition, I adapt: work through the night, cat-nap during the day to get my hours in. But not today.
As I’ve mentioned before, falling behind on my goals sometimes throws me into a fatalistic funk: I’m not going to meet them so why bother at all. Last week I patted myself on the back for not doing that, but this week it caught up with me. It’s much easier to do when I get so little sleep because it throws my regular schedule off so much.
As a result, I didn’t get any work done on Southern Discomfort or Brain From Outer Space this week. On the plus side, I finished Fox and the Hedgehog and Fiddler’s Black and mailed off my film-book proposal to McFarland. I completed my Demand Media quota too.
So not a bad week, but that’s no excuse for wasting time. There’s always more I can do, and I should have pushed a little harder to get it done.
I’ll have more to say about scheduling soon, but for now, that’s it, have a great weekend everyone.
