The fourth season of SAPPHIRE AND STEEL has them visit an old house where the landlord has no face and children have escaped turn-of-the-century photographs to run out and play. As usual the question is what’s happening to disrupt time and how they can put it back to rights? A good entry in the series; I imagine the drop from six episodes to four means it wasn’t doing too well (we only got two more season). “I only borrow time—I can’t keep it.”

As part of the North Carolina Comicon, TYG and I went to see DANGER: DIABOLIK (1968), an adaptation of an Italian comic strip starring John Philip Law as the super-villain who in between laughing at the law and crushing underworld rivals holes up in an HQ the size of the Fortress of Solitude, makes love on a bed covered in $50 bills and takes a principled stand against wasteful government spending. Not my favorite Mario Bava pic, but stylish and absurd enough to enjoy (TYG liked it too). Terry Thomas is an ineffective politician. “There are no ifs! A million dollars wipes out all ifs!”
