And time, the rushing river … of links

Busy day ahead, so here’s some links.
•The Ninth Circuit strikes down California’s No Gay Marriage Proposition 8. Apparently it’s a fairly tight-focused ruling, so it doesn’t cover anything beyond California, but it’s still good news.
•A discussion of whether legal polygamy could be next. I must admit, I’ve never quite understood why “if gay marriage is legal, why not polygamy?” is such a stock riposte on the right—despite the abusive side it often displays, I can’t see anything inherently objectionable (the article at the link discusses the prospects for non-abusive relationships).
•No, Obama’s new policy requiring Catholic employers cover birth control does not mean they’re paying for abortifacents. In other abortion news, a Congressman assumes an Onion article about Planned Parenthood is true. Meanwhile right-wing bloggers vent about the Komen-Planned Parenthood flap.
•When medical personnel and rescuers appear at the site of a drone attack, the U.S. apparently thinks they should be targeted too. The ACLU, meanwhile, is suing the Obama administration for more information about its assasination program.
•Tea party activists see the heavy hand of one-world government behind bike-lane and traffic decongestion projects.
•The Daily Howler discusses, once again, the media’s Al Gore problem. As the article points out, for all that pundits insist Gore made himself unlikable and “inauthentic,” a majority of the voters favored him.
•Several links here about bank misconduct and fraud.
