Some weeks the bear gets you

Not really a bad week, but fairly frustrating.
The good:
Uneasy Lies the Head That Wears the Clown is ready to go next week.
•I wrote my first story for the Raleigh Public Record. Hopefully, they’ll like it.
Applied Science #11, Who Watches the Watchmen, is looking much better.
•The proofs for Screen Enemies of the American Way are on the way to me and the book goes to the printer, all things working out, in four weeks.
The bad:
•I spent Tuesday and Wednesday half dazed from a stretch of insomnia and plodded through work I should have whizzed through. So while I made my normal eHow quota (or I will by the end of today), I didn’t get ahead the way I wanted.
•MySpace’s redesign (my blog posts go up there, too, since I have a fair number of readers there) is ugly, and doesn’t seem to accomplish much except give more space on the web pages for ads.
•Thursday I slept late. Getting up late shouldn’t have been a huge disorientation, but somehow I could barely get going the rest of the day. Did what had to be done, but no more (and missed a local writers’ gathering I’d hoped to go attend).
Hmph. I suppose it wasn’t actually as unproductive as I thought, it just felt that way. Which is good—only of course it still feels that way.
