A week filled with those events that alter and illuminate our times

Okay, not so much. But I’ve always liked that tagline from the old You Are There show.
A variety of non-writing demands kept me from my usual level of efficiency this week (including heavy-duty cleaning around the house). Thursday just completely fell apart; fortunately I have the occasional slack day built into my budget so the lack of a day of eHows won’t be a problem for paying my share of the bills.
I got a rewrite in on Uneasy Lies the Head That Wears the Clown, and on my original Applied Science story, which is now #10 in the series (and retitled Instrument of Science); even though Big Pulp already accepted it, there’s no point in including introduction-to-my-world aspects at this point in the series. So they’re out.
Didn’t get far enough on #9, Cry Roboticus, however, but it’s far enough along already that won’t be fatal. I got some more article queries out (one shot down already), and I really enjoyed my writer’s group Tuesday. It’s an SF/fantasy group spinning off from the main group, and it’s really nice being around people who are a)geeks and b)talented—it’s the best of several writer’s groups I’ve been in, I think.
And today I made up a lot of lost time on eHows and now it’s the weekend so I can relax and start fresh Monday. Yay!
