Okay, not really unproductive, but my accomplishments are not what I wanted to get done this week either.
Monday night, for some unknown reason, I just couldn’t sleep. So I crawled through Tuesday getting only a little done, then had to push all my errands to Wednesday since I don’t fancy driving when that exhausted (particularly in Durham traffic).
And as a result of being so tired Tuesday, I began browsing the Internet, and I’ve been succumbing to the temptation ever since. With WiFi constantly available at TYG’s house, it’s something I have to crush ruthlessly—I turn off my browser when I’m working short stories, for instance—and when I lapse, it’s hard not to keep lapsing.
On the plus side: Screen Enemies of the American Way (as my publisher has rechristened The Enemy Within) will be out by the end of the year; they’ve already received almost 60 preorders. This is way cool, of course, though I’m steeling myself for when the galleys come, and then the indexing … good thing I already started preparing for that, huh?
