Happily the first draft of Atoms for Peace, the first story for the prospective Big Pulp series, is done. As usual, there’s much work ahead, but for a first draft of mine it’s suprisingly coherent and the plot holds together well—apparently having a clear idea where all the stories end up (i.e., leading up to Brain From Outer Space) is making it easier to shape them.
Enemy Within is coming along well, but I need to spend lots more time on the writing side, not just the watching side. I’m falling behind, and I want a reasonably solid draft before the end of the year, so I can have it thoroughly polished by deadline.
And even though it’s not a top priority right now, Brain From Outer Space is slowly coming along. It definitely won’t be done by my birthday next year, but possibly by 2011.
And once again, I’m giving some article queries a try—I’ll let you know if I get any nibbles.
