First this one for Lovecraft’s Case of Charles Dexter Ward. It’s a dull cover that tells us nothing about the horror story inside.
Here we have another uncredited cover that’s no so much odd but after the pandemic, feels quite timely.
This one, though? Definitely odd, but it sounds like the story was quirky too.
This one makes me think of the Monty Python joke about Gay Boys in Bondage (“Roger is a real man — with a difference.”). The difference here is that he’s a randy goat even by the standards of paperback PIs of the 1950s. Gotta say, Johnny Havoc Meets Zelda is one uninspired title.
