Worth a read. As Elie Mystal says at the link, the Republican justices (except Barrett) are doing their best to make Trump’s “I can send assassins to kill my political rivals and not be prosecuted” claim sound reasonable (haven’t all presidents attempted coup? Shouldn’t we focus on the long-term implications rather than worrying about what Trump may or may not have done). I agree with Mystal the majority will send this back to the lower court for another trial, thereby postponing the outcome until after the November election.
