My mom acquired the paper below from my granddad. It recently came into my possession. 
The thing is, I’ve no idea what it signified to Grandad. If Mom or he ever explained it I don’t remember. He wasn’t overseas so the war news at top didn’t affect him — did he have kin in the fight? Or is it something on the inside pages? I thought it would be easy to get it out of the frame and explore but nope, it’s nailed in. Sooner or later though …
