I hope you’re having a great Christmas Day or, if you don’t celebrate Christmas, that your day is great anyway.
I’ll be spending it making German apple pancake (I’ve been doing that Christmas Day whenever I’ve had someone to share it with), then presents, then A Christmas Story. With TYG and the pups joining me. Wisp too if she wants to come in.
That means a lot. I immerse myself in so many Christmas movies (not to mention Christmas music) because before moving up here I spent the previous 10 to 15 years opening presents by myself (I had friends to take me in for Christmas dinner). Immersing myself in Christmassy stuff was a way to compensate. It means such a lot to me to have TYG with me Christmas morning instead of flying solo. I’m very lucky and I do not let myself forget it.
And speaking of lucky, while we were at Trixie’s rehab session a week ago, TYG was able to pinpoint the grand conjunction, AKA the Christmas star. I got a photo. It doesn’t show well, but it’s faint between the branches of the two center trees.
Merry Christmas to y’all.
