Mourning for my mother (#SFWApro)

So I was going to write a post about the formal visitation/ceremony for Mum this last Wednesday. But while I’m doing okay (recurring crying, but not constant tears, nor am I falling apart), I don’t feel up to saying anything worth saying. So once again, photos.

As I was down in Fort Walton Beach, needless to say I did not get any work done this week. So no week-of-writing post this afternoon. I will be back home today, and I think I’ll be back at work after Christmas.

First, Mum at her wedding. A little before I came along, of course.

The funeral urn with Mum’s ashes.

A photo mosaic of the people in Mum’s life. And dogs, too.

And that was Dr. Cindy Holbrook (dr. of divinity) who performed the service beautifully (she’s both my best friend and my sister’s best friend).

I’ll post something next week about the emotions of the whole thing.
