As I posted Tuesday, bad, unproductive days are inevitable, but they don’t have to dominate the landscape. The week as a whole went well.
•I bounced back and made up almost all the Demand Media work I didn’t get done on Tuesday.
•I watched my quota of movies and worked some more on the manuscript for the time-travel movie book.
•I put in three hours of work on The Stage is the World and it’s picking up steam. Unfortunately, this draft still isn’t finished: I have the first half and I sort of know where the conclusion should end up, but there needs to be a complication in-between them and I don’t quite know what it is.
•I finished my new And column, on one Cardinal’s insistence the Catholic Church has become too feminist. The title was supposed to be “fear the feminists” but I must have been in a rush.
On the downside, it should have been more productive than it was. The dogs took up more time than expected: Trixie keeps wanting to play rather than sit next to me (I do play with her but she was really insistent this week) and Plush Dog also needed some extra attention. And I definitely shouldn’t leave fiction writing until Friday, because my brain is more prone to distraction by then.
So no longer kicking myself for Tuesday! But I sure am ready for the weekend.
