On the personal level, all goes well. Still no new job, but TYG and I seem to have adapted well to going from long-distance to live-in.
And I went over my bank account and it looks like I’m in good shape for expenses—I’d worried things were confused enough in the move that I’d lost track and had wound up overestimating my resources.
Writing wise, I’ve been making the most of my current jobless status, and actually put in more than 20 hours (which has been my norm since I started work on Enemy Within and the Big Pulp stories) last week. I hope to do as much this week. I think I’ve more than made up for the week I took off to pack, though I’m sorry to say I didn’t finish the second draft of Big Pulp #3, Who Was That Lady? (title will need to change due to the revisions I’ve made already) last month like I’d planned.
I’m also applying for various freelance Internet jobs, and I hope to work on one this afternoon. Not much money, but I’ve learned if I can grind them out fast, i can get a decent hourly rate.
And in that spirit: Back to work!
