After my overwhelming February and pounding away at the sample chapter for McFarland in March, it was nice to be able to focus on fiction this week. And it was productive (using my new iPod to tune out distractions is very effective): I finished drafts of Kernel of Truth and made progress on Axis of Evil and Bros Before Ho’s. Brain From Outer Space is going well enough that I really think I’ll finish this month.
On the nonfiction side, I mailed an article query off and received a go-ahead for another article (spec only, but it’s encouraging). And I started reading The Chocolatier’s Wife by Cindy Lynn Speer, my fellow Drollerie author (I figured I should read more from Drollerie before submitting anything else; I’m happy to report the book is quite good).
But it was also a busy week at The Log, so I’m glad the week is done and I can stop being productive.
